What’s new

Recent releases.

Highlights from recent shipped versions. The current build is v0.4.61. The full release feed lives on GitHub; the in-app Release history dialog (Settings → About → Release history) reads the same JSON directly.

  1. v0.4.61
    August 2026

The mini player shows every name

The compact mini player was clipping its bottom line — the contributing-artists list, which is rather the point here — especially with the UI scale turned up.

It now sizes itself to its content, so every sideman, composer, and session player stays in view no matter your zoom level.

  2. v0.4.59
    August 2026

Updates that don’t stall at 99%

Some updates could stall right before finishing with an “uncompressed data size mismatch” error — a downloaded copy that had arrived subtly corrupted, caught only deep into installing.

Now every file inside an update is verified as it’s unpacked, and a corrupted download is discarded and fetched again automatically. If a clean copy still can’t be had, you get a plain ‘download it manually’ message instead of a frozen install.

  3. v0.4.58
    August 2026

Help and Settings, one consistent surface

The Help page has been rebuilt to sit in the same framed, centered layout as Settings — a grouped sidebar with section icons and a matching highlighted selection — so the two full-page tools finally look and behave alike.

And the Settings search box is no longer a placeholder: type a name or keyword like “equalizer” or “theme” and it lists the matching sections with the match highlighted, one click from the setting you want.

  4. v0.4.57
    August 2026

Help, rewritten to scan at a glance

Every section of the in-app Help is now laid out as clean label-and-description rows instead of paragraphs of prose — with the real buttons shown inline, a folder-layout diagram, and quick tips. Same depth, far faster to find the one line you came for.

  5. v0.4.56
    August 2026

A sidebar for Help — and smoother updates

The Help page’s twenty topics moved from a row of tabs that wrapped onto itself into a tidy sidebar, so every section is one click away and search filters right in the panel.

Updates got sturdier too: if Windows ever blocks an installer, the app now shows a clear ‘download it manually’ message instead of hanging on a frozen window.

  6. v0.4.22
    July 2026

    Compound genres stay whole

A genre written as a single label — “R&B/Soul”, “Jazz/Funk”, “Pop/Rock” — was being cut down to just the part before the slash on every scan, so the rest was quietly lost and no rescan could recover it.

The scanner now re-reads the tag’s literal bytes when it sees a slash, so a compound name survives intact while genuinely multi-genre tags still split correctly. Measured against a 16,000-file library, 1,585 files across 134 albums were affected.
